The most prolific inventor of all time, Thomas Edison is best known for his invention of the incandescent light bulb. Edison’s developments in modern communications and power distribution resulted in over 1,000 patents during his lifetime. Krone’s Thomas Edison Limited Edition writing instrument pays tribute to Edison’s invention of the light bulb, the basic foundation of today’s technology. The cap’s fine Italian resin is shaded from dark to light, housing a functioning light bulb. Edison’s distinct autograph decorates the sterling silver band at the base of the cap. The barrel, featuring a hand painted portrait of Edison, is highlighted with a gilded light done in gold leaf. The pen’s blind cap is fashioned as the base of a light bulb. Available in a worldwide Limited Edition of 388 fountain pens and 38 rollerballs.
